Day 01: Welcome to Lima - Peru
Welcome to Lima, Peru. Upon arrival at Lima International Airport, our representative will meet you at the international exit gate with a sign displaying your name. You will be transferred directly to your hotel in Miraflores, where you can relax after your flight. No tours are scheduled for this afternoon, so you may settle in or explore the area at your leisure. Please confirm your flight details, including airline, flight number and estimated arrival time, so we can arrange your airport pickup.

Day 02. Lima Culinary Experience & City Tour.
Today, you will experience traditional Peruvian cuisine. At 9:30 am, our guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to a local market. There, you will walk through the market as the guide explains the various ingredients, including vegetables, fruits, grains and meats, many of which are sourced from nearby mountains and valleys. After the market tour, you will participate in a cooking class. The chef will introduce the dishes and drinks you will prepare, such as ceviche, lomo saltado, and papa a la huancaína. You will then have the opportunity to enjoy these dishes.
At around 2:00 pm, you will continue with a city tour of central Lima, visiting the Palacio del Gobierno (Presidential Palace), Main Plaza and several notable colonial buildings.
We will visit the Main Plaza of Lima, surrounded by impressive buildings, palaces, and the Palacio de Gobierno, the official residence of the President of Peru. After your guide provides an overview and time for photos, you will continue to the renowned Saint Francisco Monastery and its remarkable underground catacombs.
Other notable sites include the De la Union Pathway, the Archbishop’s Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral, and San Martin Square, which often serves as a gathering place for public events and demonstrations.
The historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, recognized for its well-preserved colonial architecture. Lima, founded by the Spanish in 1535, is one of the oldest capital cities in South America and is known as the City of Kings.

Day 03. Ballestas Islands & Sandboarding in Huacachina
We will depart your hotel at 5:00 a.m. for a 3.5-hour drive south to Paracas. After breakfast, you will visit the renowned Islas Ballestas by boat, which accommodates up to 30 people. Your guide will accompany you throughout the two-hour tour, offering information about the sites and assisting with photographs.
The Ballestas Islands are rocky outcrops that host thousands of birds and animals, including penguins, sea lions, pelicans and dolphins. You will also see the Paracas Candelabro, or Candelabro of the Andes, a well-known prehistoric geoglyph on the northern face of the Paracas Peninsula.
Afterward, we will drive about 1 hour and 20 minutes to Huacachina for lunch.
Huacachina is a small desert village with a lush oasis surrounded by dunes. Here, you can enjoy the dunes and experience the unique beauty of the desert.
After enjoying the dunes, we will continue with a two-hour drive to your hotel in Nazca.

Day 04. Nazca Lines & Bus to Arequipa
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and transfer you to the airfield.
You will take a 40-minute flight over the Nazca Lines to view the large animal and geometric figures visible only from the air.
Afterward, you will drive two hours to Ica for lunch. Ica is renowned for its wineries and Pisco production. You will spend about one hour touring a local winery and sampling its products.
The tour concludes at the winery, where you will board your bus to Arequipa. Upon arrival, you will be transferred directly to your hotel.

Today is a free day to enjoy Arequipa at your leisure. We recommend visiting the main plaza to see the city's iconic white sillar buildings. You may also wish to try the famous ¨queso helado.¨

Day 06. Journey to Colca Canyon
We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa between 7:30 and 8:00 AM. The journey passes through the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve in Pampas Cañahuas, along the base of the Chachani snow-capped mountain. In the reserve, you will observe South American camelids such as vicuñas, llamas and alpacas. In the Tocra wetlands, you will see migratory birds including flamingos, Andean seagulls, and wild ducks. The tour continues past the craters of an extinct volcano to the Mirador de Volcanes at 4,800 meters above sea level, where you can view the Ampato, Hualca Hualca, and Sabancaya volcanoes, as well as much of the Western Cordillera.
After the tour, we will travel to Chivay for lunch (not included). We will then proceed to Colca Lodge, located 10 minutes from Chivay beside the Colca River. You may spend the afternoon at leisure, including access to the thermal baths overlooking the canyon.

Day 07. Colca Canyon - Condors & Journey to Puno
After breakfast, we will depart early for the highest part of the canyon. We will pick you up at approximately 6:30 a.m. and travel to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint, a prime location to observe condors in flight, the Colca River and ancient agricultural terraces. During the visit, you will also learn about the indigenous groups who have lived in the Colca Valley for centuries.
We will return to Chivay, stopping in towns such as Maca and Yanque, known for their colonial churches, including the Romanesque-style Santa Ana. We will also visit the Choquetico and Antahuilque viewpoints to see pre-Inca tombs and models. Upon arrival in Chivay, we will have a buffet lunch. After lunch, your guide will transfer you to another vehicle for the journey to Puno. Along the way, there will be stops at Patahuasi and at lagoons where you can observe flamingos. Arrival at your hotel in Puno is expected around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival in Puno, we will take you directly to your hotel. The evening is free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Your first stop is a traditional alpaca and llama farm, where you’ll learn about llamas, alpacas and vicuñas often called the South American camels. Here, you’ll discover the importance of these animals in Andean culture and daily life.

Day 13: Hike 2 Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Your day begins with a 5:45 a.m. hotel pickup in Ollantaytambo. Your guide will accompany you on a brief walk to the train station, followed by a scenic train ride to Km 104, the official starting point of the 2-day Short Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, you will pass through the official checkpoint and present your original passport. After a short briefing, you will prepare for the hike by applying sunscreen and insect repellent, organizing water and readying your camera.
The hike starts with a gentle ascent to Chachabamba, an important Inca complex thought to be a ceremonial gateway to Machu Picchu. After a guided tour, you will continue uphill for about three hours to Wiñay Wayna, renowned for its agricultural terraces and temples. Following your exploration of the site, you will have a freshly prepared lunch by your trekking chef.
After a brief rest, you will hike for about one hour to Inti Punku, or the Sun Gate, which offers your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu. From there, you will descend gently to enter Machu Picchu through the upper section of the citadel, known as Circuit 1, noted for its classic views. After taking in the scenery and capturing photos, you will take a bus to Aguas Calientes and stay overnight in a comfortable hotel, preparing for the next day's exploration.

Day 14: Machu Picchu Guided Tour & Return to Cusco
Today features a guided visit to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Your day begins with an early wake-up call and breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes. You will then board an early bus to the Machu Picchu citadel, arriving during the quieter morning hours.
Upon arrival, you will take a guided tour of Machu Picchu via Circuit 3, the official route for all Inca Trail hikers as required by Machu Picchu regulations. This circuit covers the central and lower sectors of the citadel, including ceremonial rooms, the Temple of the Sun, sacred water fountains, agricultural terraces and residential areas. Your guide will provide detailed insights into Inca history, architecture, astronomy and daily life during the approximately 2.5-hour tour.
After the guided tour, travelers with a reserved Huayna Picchu hike (subject to availability and an additional fee of USD 75 per person) will begin their ascent for panoramic views of Machu Picchu. Those without a Huayna Picchu ticket will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, with free time to explore the town, shop or have lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Day 15: Hike Raimbow Mountain & Red Valley
Prepare for an exceptional day. Your guide will collect you from your hotel at 4.30 am for a three-hour drive to the trailhead. We will stop for a substantial breakfast en route.
At the trailhead, located at 4,350 meters, we will prepare and begin our hike. The high altitude brings a cold, dry climate, so please dress warmly. The 4-kilometer trek to the summit of Rainbow Mountain, or Winikunqa, takes about 2.5 hours and reaches 5,150 meters above sea level.
At the summit, you will have time to appreciate the remarkable scenery and take photographs. The vibrant colors of Rainbow Mountain offer a unique visual experience.
We will then continue to the Red Valley, located behind Rainbow Mountain, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the distinctive red landscape. After exploring both sites, we will return along the same path to meet our driver. A scenic 50-minute drive will take us to a restaurant for a well-deserved lunch.
After lunch, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. Arrival is expected by 5:30 pm. This day offers exceptional natural scenery and memorable experiences.
