The weather can change fast, and although in the peak months the days can be hot, the nights are chilly, so bring layers, rain gear, and a lightweight day pack (25-30L), with essentials. - Your Original Passport: This is mandatory and must be the same passport used when booking your Short Inca Trail permit. Authorities check passports at the trail entrance and again at Machu Picchu. Copies or digital photos are not accepted.

Clothing
