Day 1: Sacred Valley Wonders & Journey to Aguas Calientes

Day 2: Explore the Lost City of the Incas – Machu Picchu

After an early breakfast, take the shuttle bus up to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu citadel. After plenty of time to explore and capture unforgettable photos, return to Aguas Calientes, then take the train and private transport back to Cusco, arriving in the evening. Day 1: Chinchero, Moray, Maras & Ollantaytambo – Train to Aguas Calientes

We begin your adventure with an 8:00 AM pickup from your hotel in Cusco, heading into the stunning Sacred Valley. Our first stop is the Chinchero Inca site, a culturally rich location featuring ancient ruins and a beautiful colonial church built on Inca foundations. Enjoy a guided walking tour as you uncover the site's history and importance.

Next, we visit a local weaving center, where you’ll meet Andean artisans who preserve traditional textile techniques passed down through generations. Chinchero is also known for its potato farming heritage and vibrant Quechua culture.

We continue to Moray, a fascinating Inca archaeological site known for its circular agricultural terraces, believed to be an ancient farming laboratory. Just nearby, we explore the Maras Salt Mines, a dazzling patchwork of thousands of salt pools still harvested by local families today.

Afterward, we enjoy a delicious lunch in Urubamba before heading to the Ollantaytambo Inca site, one of the most impressive fortress-temples of the Sacred Valley. Discover its stone terraces, ceremonial areas, and Inca engineering with your expert guide.

In the late afternoon, we board the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel near the base of the citadel.

Day 2: The Majestic Machu Picchu Experience – Return to Cusco

Today is the crowning moment of your journey, a once-in-a-lifetime visit to Machu Picchu, the most iconic archaeological site in South America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, we board one of the first shuttle buses up the winding road to Machu Picchu. Arriving early allows you to witness the citadel bathed in golden morning light, with peaceful surroundings and mystical cloud cover hugging the peaks.

At the entrance, we complete the official check-in with your passport and entrance ticket. From there, we ascend to the upper terraces, offering spectacular panoramic views, perfect for those unforgettable, postcard-worthy photos of the Inca citadel framed by the Andes and lush cloud forest.

👉 Travel Tip: Book at least 4 - 5 months in advance to secure access to Circuit #2, the most complete and scenic route through Machu Picchu. This circuit includes all major areas and offers the best photo opportunities and immersive experience.

Enjoy a 2.5-hour guided walking tour through the citadel’s most remarkable highlights: the Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza, Royal Quarters, and Agricultural Sector. After exploring, return to Aguas Calientes by bus, where you'll have time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, board the Expedition train back to Ollantaytambo, where our private transport awaits to return you to Cusco.
