Begin your day in the heart of the Andes with a warm cup of coca tea served at your tent, a gentle and traditional way to wake up at altitude. You'll have time to organize your day pack, freshen up, and enjoy a hearty breakfast prepared by our chef. Before setting off, your team will provide water and Gatorade to keep you hydrated throughout the day. We then begin a steady uphill hike through lush cloud forest, as the trail winds its way toward the high Andes.

After approximately 4 hours, we reach Llulluchapampa, a scenic spot with panoramic views where our chef awaits with a delicious gourmet lunch and refreshing drinks. This is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and soak in the beauty of the mountains. After lunch, we continue ascending for another two hours to reach the trail’s highest point, Dead Woman’s Pass (4,215 m), before descending into the Pacaymayu Valley. At camp, your luxury tent, hot shower, and massage therapist await to ease your muscles. End the day with a fine dinner and a sky full of stars.

Day 3: Pacaymayu – Runkurakay – Phuyupatamarca – Wiñayhuayna (Long & Scenic Day)

We begin this exciting day with an early coca tea wake-up at your tent, followed by a nourishing breakfast to fuel the journey ahead. After organizing your daypack, our team provides fresh water and Gatorade to keep you hydrated. Today’s hike is packed with history, breathtaking landscapes, and ancient wonders. The morning climb leads us to the circular ruins of Runkurakay, followed by the Runkurakay Pass, offering sweeping views of the Andes and cloud forest below.

As we descend, we visit the fascinating Inca site of Sayacmarca, perched dramatically on a cliffside. The trail becomes more lush and mystical as we continue toward Phuyupatamarca, known as “the town above the clouds,” where our chef awaits with a gourmet lunch in one of the most scenic spots on the trail. From here, it’s a long descent down beautiful stone steps through the forest, passing Intipata, a series of stunning terraces. We finally arrive at our last campsite, Wiñayhuayna, where your luxury tent, hot shower, and evening massage offer the perfect rest before tomorrow’s grand finale.

Day 4: Wiñayhuayna – Sun Gate – Machu Picchu – Cusco (Majestic Finale)

Your final day on the Luxury Inca Trail begins early with a 3:45 am wake-up, followed by a hot breakfast at 4:20 am. By 5:30 am, we begin our final stretch of the trail under the soft light of dawn. After about an hour of gentle hiking, we reach the legendary Sun Gate (Inti Punku), where the first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu unfolds before you. If weather allows, you may witness a magical sunrise over the citadel, an unforgettable reward for your journey.

We then hike for another hour down to Machu Picchu, taking in incredible views from different angles. After a quick break outside the site to use the restrooms, we re-enter for a comprehensive 2.5-hour guided tour. Your expert guide will walk you through the citadel’s most important temples, plazas, and sacred spots, bringing the ancient city to life with fascinating history. Afterward, enjoy a gourmet lunch at Tinkuy Restaurant by Sanctuary Lodge. Then we take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have free time to explore the village before boarding the Vistadome Observatory Train at 3:20 pm.
