Day 02: Day 2: Lima Culinary & City Tour

Day 03: Ballestas Islands, Huacachina Oasis & Sand Dunes – Full-Day Adventure from Lima
Your day begins early, with a 5:00 am pickup from your hotel. We head south along the scenic coast toward Paracas, arriving by 9:00 am for an unforgettable boat tour to the Ballestas Islands. This 2-hour excursion offers up-close encounters with sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, and seabirds, all thriving in their natural habitat. Along the way, you'll also admire the enigmatic Candelabra geoglyph, carved into the coastal hills.
Next, we continue to Huacachina, a dazzling desert oasis framed by giant sand dunes. After a short break to enjoy the view and take photos, get ready for an adrenaline-filled dune buggy ride and sandboarding adventure, a favorite highlight of the day! Day 04. Welcome to Cusco & Afternoon City tour
Welcome to the Imperial City of Cusco! Upon arrival, we’ll be waiting at the airport to greet you and transfer you to your hotel for a well-deserved rest and time to acclimate. We highly recommend arriving on a morning flight between 7:00 and 8:00 am to make the most of your day.
Your journey into Peru’s rich history begins with our Cusco City Tour, starting at 1:00 pm. We'll pick you up from your hotel and begin exploring the most iconic landmarks of the city.
First, visit Cusco’s Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas, a masterpiece of colonial architecture filled with religious art and treasures from the colonial era. Next, head to Qoricancha, once the most sacred Inca temple dedicated to the Sun God. Here, you'll witness the fascinating contrast between Inca stonework and Spanish colonial construction.
After exploring downtown, we’ll drive to the surrounding hills to visit four impressive Inca sites:
Sacsayhuamán – a massive fortress built with gigantic stones, perfectly fitted together without mortar.
Qenqo – a spiritual site believed to be used for ceremonial and astronomical purposes.
Puca Pucara – a small military outpost and checkpoint that guarded the entrance to Cusco.
Tambomachay – known as the Inca’s ceremonial bath, with its still-functioning aqueducts and sacred fountains.

Day 05: Explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas: Full-Day Adventure from Cusco
Your Sacred Valley journey begins with a 7:30 am pick-up from your Cusco hotel. Our first stop is a charming alpaca farm, where you’ll meet llamas, alpacas, and vicuñas, the sacred animals of the Andes. Learn about traditional weaving techniques and the cultural importance of alpaca wool in Andean textiles.
Next, visit the awe-inspiring Pisac ruins, perched high above the valley. Discover ancient terraces, ceremonial sites, and panoramic views as your expert guide brings the Inca legacy to life. Then, enjoy a scenic drive to Urubamba, where a buffet lunch of local dishes awaits, offering a taste of authentic Peruvian flavors.
In the afternoon, we’ll explore Moray, a mysterious Inca site with perfectly circular terraces believed to have been used for agricultural experiments. Nearby, the Maras Salt Mines showcase thousands of salt pools still harvested by local families, a breathtaking and photogenic stop.

Day 06: Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu – A Legendary Hike to the Sun Gate
Today is the big day! At 5:45 am, we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Ollantaytambo and walk to the train station to catch the 6:00 am train. Enjoy a scenic ride along the Urubamba River before arriving at KM 104, the official starting point of the Short Inca Trail. After checking in with your original passport, your unforgettable hike on the Royal Inca Trail begins.
The first stretch is a moderate 3.5-hour uphill hike through lush cloud forest, colorful orchids, and ancient stone trails. Along the way, we’ll stop at Chachabamba, a small but fascinating Inca site believed to have served as a ceremonial checkpoint. Continuing upward, we pass by wild orchids, including the vibrant Wiñay Wayna, a symbol of endurance and beauty in the Andes.
After visiting the Wiñay Wayna archaeological site, often called a “mini Machu Picchu” due to its terraces and water shrines, enjoy a delicious box lunch with stunning mountain views. Your guide will explain the spiritual and historical importance of the site.
The final hour is an exciting trek to Inti Punku, the Sun Gate, where you’ll enjoy your first breathtaking view of Machu Picchu, a reward that makes every step worth it. From this iconic viewpoint, we descend gradually to the citadel and then take a shuttle bus down to Aguas Calientes. After checking in at your hotel, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and rest up for your visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

Day 07: Explore Machu Picchu – The Lost City of the Incas
After an early breakfast at your hotel, we take one of the first shuttle buses up to Machu Picchu, arriving in the quiet morning hours when the site is less crowded. As a Short Inca Trail hiker, you’ll enter via Circuit 3, following current Machu Picchu regulations. This route offers a close-up look at the heart of the citadel, including its sacred plazas, ceremonial temples, intricate stonework, and agricultural terraces.
Your expert guide will lead a 2.5-hour walking tour, bringing the ruins to life with stories, legends, and spiritual insights. You’ll gain a deeper appreciation for Inca engineering, astronomy, and the meaning behind this mystical place.
If you’ve secured a Huayna Picchu permit in advance (additional $75 USD), you’ll have the option to hike this dramatic peak. Though steep, the climb is well worth it for its panoramic views over the entire Machu Picchu complex. The round-trip takes around 2 hours.
After exploring, take the shuttle back down to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have free time for lunch (not included) and a bit of relaxation. In the afternoon, we board the train to Ollantaytambo, where our private transport will be waiting. Day 08: Cusco Free day to walk and explore the Town

You can visit colorful local markets like San Pedro, explore artisan shops in San Blas, or simply relax with a coffee on a balcony overlooking the Plaza de Armas.

Day 09: Hike Rainbow Mountain & Discover the Red Valley
Today is one of the most unique and breathtaking experiences of your journey through Peru. We’ll begin with an early pick-up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 and 4:30 am, followed by a scenic 2-hour drive to the village of Cusipata, where a warm, locally-prepared breakfast awaits.
From there, we continue by vehicle for about an hour to the trailhead at an elevation of 4,600 meters (15,092 ft). The adventure begins with a 2-hour gradual uphill hike, offering stunning views of snow-capped peaks, grazing alpacas, and dramatic highland landscapes. Reaching the summit of Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain) at 5,100 meters (16,732 ft), you’ll be rewarded with the iconic view of vibrant, naturally-colored mineral stripes stretching across the mountain’s surface, a true natural wonder.
But the magic doesn’t stop there. We continue hiking another 45 minutes to the Red Valley, an otherworldly landscape with deep crimson slopes and rolling hills that feel straight out of Mars. This peaceful valley is often missed by other travelers and offers a more serene, off-the-beaten-path experience.
After exploring both incredible sites, we return to the trailhead, meet our driver, and head back to Cusipata for a delicious lunch. Finally, we drive approximately 2 hours back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 5:00 pm, with memories that will stay with you forever.

Day 10: Scenic Journey from Cusco to Puno via the Sun Route
Embark on a full-day cultural adventure from Cusco to Puno along the iconic Sun Route (Ruta del Sol), one of the most scenic and enriching overland journeys in Peru. We’ll begin with a 6:20 AM hotel pick-up and transfer you to the bus station, where your comfortable tourist-class coach awaits.
Throughout the day, enjoy spectacular Andean landscapes and a series of carefully curated stops that showcase Peru’s deep cultural roots. Visit Andahuaylillas Church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes” for its lavish murals and baroque altars. Explore the vast Raqchi archaeological complex, once an important Inca religious site. At the La Raya Pass, the highest point of the route at 4,335 meters, you’ll take in stunning high-altitude views and photograph the towering Andes.
Later, delve into the region’s pre-Inca heritage with a visit to the Pukara Lithic Museum, home to ancient stone carvings and ceremonial artifacts. A buffet lunch is included along the way to keep you energized.
By around 5:30 PM, you’ll arrive in Puno and be transferred to your hotel, perfectly situated to begin the next chapter of your journey, exploring the legendary Lake Titicaca.

Day 11: Lake Titicaca – Uros & Taquile Islands Cultural Tour

Day 12: Farewell & Airport Transfer – Juliaca to Lima
As your unforgettable journey through Peru comes to an end, our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Puno approximately 3 hours before your flight. You’ll enjoy a comfortable transfer to Juliaca Airport, located about 1 hour from Puno, in time for your domestic flight to Lima.
Please remember that all travelers must be at the airport at least 2 hours before departure for check-in and security procedures.
